Whether net premium flow builds up or down across the session. The accumulation matters more than the snapshot. Sometimes mislabeled as directional pressure drift; the platform's term is Net Flow Drift.
What this path is
Net Flow Drift (Net Flow Drift) is the cumulative direction of net premium flow across the session. It is not a snapshot but a line that starts at the open and builds trade by trade. It shows whether call buyers or put buyers are running the session, and where the mood turned.
Why the line, not the number
A closing figure of "+40M$" hides two different stories: a session that was positive from the start, or a sharp reversal from −60 to +40 in the final hour. The second is an event and the first is routine. Only the line tells them apart.
Reading the turns
A turn in the path that coincides with a break of a structural level (a wall or the gamma flip point) is more reliable than either one alone: price broke and money agreed. A turn with no price confirmation is an early warning to watch, not to trade on its own.
Hypothetical example
An index holds its price in the afternoon while its flow path slides steadily from the high. That is a hold with no fuel, a pattern that often breaks in the last hour when the last holders give up.
Common mistake
Chasing every ripple in the line. Inside a session there is more hedging and expiry noise than anyone can count. The big, sustained turns are the signal, and small ripples are normal market life.
Why read it as a path, not a snapshot
The live number jumps with every large trade. The meaning is in the slope of the path across the session. A steady climb means accumulated directional flow. Wobbling around zero means the two sides are even, however big the numbers look.
Where to see it on the platform
The Net Flow page draws it live across several timeframes and marks its reversals on the same line, with their times.
The flow tools draw its path through the session, and the top bar shows its live net value.
