A series of conditions that must all be met before execution. If one fails, there is no trade. Sometimes mislabeled as gates; the platform's term is Entry Filters.
What these filters are
Entry Filters (Entry Filters) are preconditions that must all pass before any trade is allowed to exist. An idea that clears all of them survives far better than a hunch its owner happened to like. An idea that clears three independent filters survives far better than a hunch its owner happened to like.
The logic of stacking
Each filter alone is weak. Many ideas pass the trend filter, fewer add confirming flow, and few combine them on a sound structure in the right regime. Stacking engineers scarcity on purpose. Fewer trades is not a flaw of the system but its aim: what reaches the execution desk is a selected elite.
Their families in our systems
Structural (where price sits relative to the walls and the flip), flow-based (premium that confirms rather than contradicts), regime-based (gamma, breadth and macro context), and timing-based (no entries before major data or in ghost liquidity). A rejection from any filter is final. No "but it looks good".
Hypothetical example
A bright bounce signal on the chart. The structure filter says no: below price, the Gamma Flip has no thick wall under it. A week later the symbol slid 9%. The filter didn't predict anything. It only refused to play where the ground is soft, and that is all it does.
Common mistake
Loosening the filters in dry spells: two weeks without a trade and "tolerance" begins. That cancels the system at the moment you need it most. A dry spell is news from the market: the conditions aren't there.
Why you write them in the evening, not in the moment of temptation
The conditions are written with a cool head, so the entry decision becomes matching rather than improvising under pressure. They are also the unit of measurement: a hundred trades from the same rule are a sample you can judge, and a hundred scattered hunches are noise you can't learn from.
Where to see it on the platform
The systematic trading module shows its filters and the state of each one right now, so you can see why the system stays quiet when it does.
The signal model builds each idea with its filters in plain view, and the trading journal sorts trades by their condition.
